Lumen Civitatis, “Light of the City”, was founded to support and promote Catholic culture, education, and leadership in Memphis, Tennessee, in fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church and the local Ordinary. Their mission is to celebrate Christ as the Light of the City, particularly by exposing Catholics in the diocese, university students, and other interested participants to the rich heritage of Catholic teaching and culture through public events, guest lecture series, panel and roundtable discussions, Catholic Studies courses, and campus ministry initiatives, in order to form leaders to impact life in Memphis and beyond.
